Start with the finished candle
Use the complete product: vessel diameter, full height with lid, filled weight, vessel material and photos from several angles. An empty container is not the same packaging brief as a filled candle with wax, lid, label and finished surface.
Separate presentation from delivery
A premium carton or rigid gift box can support the retail or gifting presentation. A direct-delivery project may also need an outer corrugated packing layer. Identify the intended sales channel early so the presentation box and delivery conversation are not confused.
Plan the insert around the vessel
The vessel, lid and label should have a considered position inside the package. EVA, paperboard and molded-pulp options can be reviewed around shape, weight, clearance and practical removal. See materials and insert options for a broader comparison.
Define what the sample must confirm
Agree whether the sample is checking the complete vessel fit, insert hold, lid clearance, paper, print, finish, gift-set layout or outer packing arrangement. Review the actual finished candle with the selected packaging system before bulk approval.
Include the delivery brief
Share quantity, destination, expected sales channel and target date. If the candle will be sent as a parcel, explain the intended packing configuration and outer shipment plan. Manufacturing and transit are separate parts of the timeline.
